Real estate has been in the news for it’s many failures, and it has endured a crash in the market that hasn’t been seen since the Great Depression, but it’s not all bad. If you invested in the stock market 10 years ago, it’s very possible your portfolio is losing money. However, if you invested in real estate 10 years ago, chances are that you have equity in your house, and could sell for a profit.
I was born in the USA, and have established myself with a network of people, both professional and personal. I attended the University of Maryland at College Park and graduated with a Computer Science degree. I worked in the Information Technology industry for 7 years before deciding in 2002 that being in business for myself and being able to help people in some way, was more suited to my personality. The real estate market was booming, and it appeared like it was going to continue for many years to come, which it did, so I took that as my opportunity.
As the real estate market started going in another direction, so did I. The job of any person in the market is to roll with the punches and survive. Short sales started becoming very popular, but not very many people knew what to do or how to handle them. I had done my first short sale in 2002, so I was already knowledgeable in an industry that had few experts. I decided to pursue my real estate license and expand from just investing. I would help those homeowners who needed it most. That could be accomplished by making sure the bank got the best offer the market could support, and the homeowner minimized the damage from a bad situation.
For buyers, I am able to help protect them from long waiting periods and short sales offers that aren’t going to be accepted by the bank. For any buyer, it’s important to know your odds when presenting any offer, and I like to educate buyers in a way that makes them feel comfortable and knowledgeable.
